An exploration in negative space.
As I work I rotate the sculpture removing small amounts of stone at a time. I open up the negative spaces slowly, without holding expectations of a particular form, but staying conscious that the key is balance, and knowing that the negative space, what we don’t see, is as important as the physical form in front of our eyes.

Sanctuary Sounds
Sanctuary Sounds Music Festival is a project I’ve worked on since 2009. I began volunteering as an artist, then took on a role as Art Director and now, along with the Art Director role, I am also organising the festival.
Graphic Design
I am a self taught graphic designer. I am efficient in Adobe softwares such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects and XD. I’ve recently worked as a UI designer for a small company in NZ.
Ice Sculpture
I spent 18 months working for an ice company out of Tawa before new owners took over and no longer wanted to offer ice sculpture as a service. I thoroughly enjoy carving ice and I am always happy to take on contracts.
